The Syrah ‘Che Syrah Sarà’ represents a label with a meaty and intense taste crafted according to artisanal practices by the Perugian wine estate Madrevite. This estate, located in Castiglione del Lago, on the western shore of Lake Trasimeno, is led by Nicola Chiucchiurlotto, who relies on the oenological advice of Emiliano Falsini and the agronomic guidance of Stefano Dini. The production approach involves utmost respect for the environment in the vineyard and minimal interventions in the winery, with the different varieties always vinified in purity through the sole aid of indigenous yeasts.
‘Che Syrah Sarà’ Madrevite Syrah is a pure expression of the eponymous black grape variety, cultivated sustainably without the use of synthetic chemical products. The plants are about 20 years old and are rooted in clay and sandy soils. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected, then fermented in stainless steel tanks where the alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously due to the presence of only indigenous yeasts, accompanied by a variable period of skin maceration. The subsequent maturation of 12 months takes place in French and American oak barriques and is followed by an additional year of aging in the bottle before being released on the market.
The color of the Syrah Madrevite ‘Che Syrah Sarà’ is a consistent ruby red with violet hues. From the glass emerge vivid fruity aromas of red currant and blueberry that blend with spicy notes of black pepper and vanilla. Balsamic hints enrich the olfactory weave. On the palate, it is elegant and meaty, very fresh and intense, with velvety tannins leading to a juicy finish.
