'Prenna' is a rosé Syrah with a unique freshness and delicacy, which matures exclusively in steel. Light and playful, yet rich in personality, it reflects the balance of the man who created it. A pleasant Romagna wine ideal for aperitifs or fish dishes

The Romagna winery San Patrignano presents the Rosato Syrah 'Prenna', afresh and delicate interpretation of the grape variety. The San Patrignano project goes beyond just wine production to become the largest rehabilitation community in Europe. Approximately 1,000 young people engage daily in activities, such as handicrafts and the production of quality wine and food, that allow the community to remain sustainable and self-financing.
Syrah San Patrignano Rosato 'Prenna' is a 100% Syrah from an old vineyard planted on soil rich in clay and skeleton. Harvesting is carried out in the last ten days of August, so as to safeguard the bunches' wealth of organic acids, which are then vinified whole with 12 hours of cryomaceration directly in the press, in order to preserve the aromatic precursors contained in the grapes. This is followed by soft pressing and then by alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks for about two weeks at a controlled temperature. The entire process is carried out in the absence of oxygen in order to protect the grapes and must from oxidation. To keep the wine's characteristics intact, the 4-month maturation phase then takes place in steel.
San Patrignano's 'Prenna' Syrah Rosato is a bright pink colour with orange hues. The nose offers pleasant fruity and floral hints of strawberry, rose petals, pomegranate and raspberry, surrounded by a delicate spicy tone typical of Syrah. On the palate it is round but juicy, with beautiful freshness and flavour, and a very mouth-watering finish that brings back the fine scents perceived on the nose. This is a rosé wine of excellent versatility in pairing with food, capable of accompanying a wide range of dishes, both sea and land.
