Olmeca Altos Tequila Blanco from the Destilería Colonial de Jalisco is the youngest and freshest version of this famous Mexican spirit, now known and appreciated worldwide. It is a high-quality tequila made from the prized Blue Weber Agave variety, grown in the highlands of the Jalisco region. Bottling takes place immediately after the careful distillation process, which helps preserve the full fragrance of the tequila, expressing characteristic notes of fresh agave, typical vegetal aromas, and the immediate freshness on the palate. The Blanco is a tequila that originates from the Jalisco region, long known for the outstanding quality of Blue Weber Agave. The Destilería Colonial de Jalisco selects only the best plants that have reached full maturity to ensure consistently high quality. It is then the jimadores’ task to harvest and hand-cut them to extract the heart (piña), which is then sent for processing.After slow cooking and pressing of the agave, the juice is double distilled in copper stills, producing an exceptionally refined tequila. This tequila is made from a selection of the finest Blue Weber Agave plants, crafted using traditional methods. After the double distillation process, it is immediately bottled to preserve its youthful freshness.In the glass, it appears clear, transparent, and crystal-like. On the nose, it opens with fresh and fragrant aromas of just-cut agave, vegetal and herbal notes, hints of citrus, and delicate touches of soft spices.
