It comes from a vineyard characterized by limestone-rich soils and ages for 3 months in steel and 6 months in amphora, dressing itself in the eye with an elegant amber gold. On the nose, it is complex and elegant, releasing notes of fresh fruit like oranges and peaches, beeswax, white pepper, and lemongrass that converge into a sip, fresh, velvety, and sensual.
The Trebbiano "Amforeas" produced by the Apulian winemaker Marco Ludovico is an orange wine made from pure Trebbiano grapes. The grapes are macerated for a long time in a dolium of terracotta, allowing the wine to enrich its body and aromatic density. It is a label reserved for lovers of this particular type of wine, expressing great complexity, with sensations ranging from typically fruity notes to more evolved tertiary aromas. It is a structured and multifaceted Trebbiano, typically gastronomic in nature, which pairs excellently with delicate white meats or medium-aged cheeses.
"Amforeas" Trebbiano is born in the Apulian estate of Marco Ludovico, located near Mottola, north of Taranto. It is in this splendid and unspoiled area of the Natural Park of the Terra delle Gravine that the vineyards are found, cultivated with the indigenous varieties of the territory: Primitivo, Verdeca, Minutolo, along with two grape varieties that are among the most widespread in our peninsula, the Trebbiano and Sangiovese. Born into a family of winemakers, after completing his studies in oenology, Marco preferred to travel and gain experience in many wine regions, both Italian and worldwide, before returning to Apulia. He thus combined in-depth and global preparation with a strong sense of belonging to his land. His wines reflect an artisanal vision, linked to the best traditions and to less invasive cellar practices or those that refer to the oldest customs, such as in the case of maceration and the use of terracotta.The wine "Amforeas" by Marco Ludovico is a particularly broad, rich, and expressive Trebbiano, made from grapes that come from the vineyards of Contrada Salvapiana, cultivated at an altitude of 370 meters above sea level on limestone soils, rich in skeleton and with exposed bedrock. Fermentation takes place in traditional dolium of terracotta, with indigenous yeasts and a skin maceration period of 2 months. The wine then matures for 3 months in steel and for another 6 months in terracotta before being
