Valpolicella Classico Allegrini 2025
The Valpolicella Classico by Allegrini is a young and elegant red wine, vinified and aged only in steel. Primary aromas of red flowers, sour cherries, and spices stand out from the bouquet. The sip is lively and brisk, juicy and delicate, with subtle tannins in the finish
“Light, fresh, red and friendly, like the house of a brother with whom you get along”. These are the words that Allegrini borrows from the great Ernest Hemingway to describe Valpolicella Classico, a blend of indigenous grape varieties that presents itself with a youthful personality and a dynamic sip. An engaging red wine, with fresh aromas, that expresses the most traditional characters of one of the most important Venetian denominations, which Allegrini, a winery that under the careful guidance of Franco and Marilisa has become synonymous with excellence in Italian wine worldwide, presents with a distinctive style.
The Valpolicella Classico DOC is produced by Allegrini from a typical blend of the territory, where Corvina Veronese is joined by a good percentage of Rondinella and 5% of Molinara. The vines, trained both in trentino pergola and simple guyot, have an average age of about 33 years, and grow on hills characterized by a subsoil rich in clay and limestone. The grapes, after harvesting, ferment in steel for 9 days, at a temperature ranging from 25 to 31 degrees; then we move on to the aging phase, carried out only in steel until mid-February.
The Valpolicella Classico produced by the Allegrini winery manifests itself to the eye with a ruby red color, crossed by slight violet reflections. The nose is fragrant, pervaded by subtle and elegant aromas, where flowers and fruit alternate with more spicy nuances. On the palate, it is light-bodied, slender, characterized by a drinkable sip, where the tannins are barely accentuated. A label that is very versatile from a gastronomic point of view, appreciated throughout the meal, both with earthy first courses and with second courses based on white and red meat.
