Jameson Whisky "Select Black Barrel" is a tribute to the art of master coopers. It is in fact produced with aging in double carbonized barrels. Toasted aromas of vanilla, sweet spices, vanilla and honey accompany a smooth, warm, sweet and persistent taste

The Irish Whisky 'Select Black Barrel' by Jameson is a particularly intense and aromatic Irish Whisky, dedicated to those who love very evolved spirits rich in tertiary notes. Its name 'Black Barrel' indeed refers to the type of aging it undergoes. The Whisky matures for several years in barrels subjected to a double toasting, which makes them particularly suitable for transferring slightly smoky notes, hints of roasting, and spices. Alongside these sensations derived from noble woods, softer notes reminiscent of ripe fruit, vanilla, and honeyed sweetness join in.

The 'Select Black Barrel' is an Irish Whisky produced by Jameson, which perfectly illustrates the soft and elegant style of this historic Irish distillery founded back in 1780. The distillery's fortune has always been based on the art of blending various types of spirits to create particularly harmonious Whiskies. In addition to a triple distillation process, Jameson's fame is linked to a particular care reserved for the woods for whisky maturation. For aging, American barrels previously used for Bourbon or Spanish barrels already used for the fragrant fortified wines of Jerez de la Frontera are used, which help enrich the aromatic spectrum of the Whiskies and make the sip particularly enticing and round.

The Irish Whisky 'Select Black Barrel', from the famous Scottish distillery Jameson, is born from a blend of Malt Whisky and Grain Whisky. The particular softness and finesse of the distillate is due to a triple distillation process in classic pot stills. The tradition of not using peat as fuel during the barley drying phase allows for particularly sweet malts without any smoky notes. The secret of its unmistakable character lies in a maturation period of 4 years in barrels subjected to double toasting, already used for Bourbon aging. It presents itself with an intense and bright amber yellow color. The bouquet is wide and rich, with hints of dried fruit, ripe yellow fruit, honey, vanilla, sweet spices, and hints of roasting. On the palate, it has a soft and smooth entry, with sweet notes and a very persistent finish.
