T Rosso Tramin 2024
Perfect to drink every dayThe T Rosso di Tramin is a young, light and refreshing red wine from South Tyrol, characterized by a pleasant and crystalline personality. It presents itself with a bright color and delicate aromas of fresh cherries and small red fruits. On the palate it is soft, fresh, slender and fruity
The “T Rosso” from the Tramin winery is a soft and fruity red wine made from Schiava, Pinot Nero, and Merlot grapes sourced from vineyards that extend on hills adjacent to the Dolomites, at an altitude ranging from 300 to 550 meters, subjected to significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The vines are planted in calcareous soils with a prevalence of clay and gravel and are cultivated with great care and attention to the territory. The Tramin winery, founded in 1898 by the parish priest of Termeno, Christian Schrott, is one of the largest cooperative realities in Alto Adige, comprising over 290 grape suppliers. This pleasant and precise red fully embodies the perfect and undeniable style of one of the most famous and symbolic wineries in the entire region.
The “T Cuvée Rosso” from Tramin is a blend of red grapes that, harvested at the peak of their phenolic ripeness, are then destemmed and fermented in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of about 26-28°C. The process then continues with racking and the aging of the various grape varieties in separate steel containers for several months. Once the desired degree of ripeness is reached, the blend is made, the wine is bottled, and it is ready to be marketed.
The Tramin “T Rosso” presents itself with a light and bright ruby red color, with aromas predominantly of red fruit, including cherry and currant, spicy notes, and delicate scents of dried flowers. On the palate, it is sleek, soft, and juicy, characterized by good freshness. This label combines the lightness of the jovial Schiava with the pleasantness of the fruit found in Pinot Nero and the softness of Merlot, creating a perfect blend of the history and winemaking tradition of Alto Adige, making it an excellent example of this border region.
