The Valtellina Superiore Riserva Grumello “Dossi Salati” from the Dirupi winery is a great red made from Nebbiolo, showcasing the finesse and austerity typical of a mountain wine. The grapes come from a single vineyard, 'Dossi Salati', a prized slope near Sondrio. This red presents fascinating aromas of red fruit and flowers, along with sweet spices and mountain herbs that meet fresh balsamic hints on the finish. On the palate, it surprises with austerity and elegance, the tannin develops intensely in the mouth, and the very savory finish makes each sip very gastronomic.

The Valtellina Superiore Riserva Grumello “Dossi Salati” from the Dirupi estate is a magnificent expression of mountain nebbiolo, showcasing all the charm of an extraordinary terroir. The strong temperature fluctuations due to altitude and the stony soils contribute to the maturation of grapes with a intense and refined aromatic profile. The long aging in wood helps to soften the youthful roughness of the grape variety, offering a harmonious and balanced sip. The floral bouquet, delicately fruity and spicy, provides a high-level tasting experience.

“Dossi Salati” Valtellina Superiore Riserva Grumello is born in a small artisanal reality, founded by two enologist friends. The Dirupi winery cultivates 7 hectares, divided into many small plots located in 20 different areas of the denomination. The vineyards are situated at an altitude between 400 and 600 meters above sea level, on steep terraced slopes with dry stone walls. The estate's philosophy has always been focused on enhancing the territory and producing wines of high quality, fresh and elegant. The grapes come from a single parcel of particularly suited Nebbiolo, the Vigna Dossi Salati, located at an altitude between 530 and 570 meters above sea level. At the end of the manual harvest, the best bunches are sent for fermentation in oak vats with a skin maceration of about a month. The wine matures in 20-hectoliter barrels for 24 months and then completes its aging in the bottle.

The red Valtellina Superiore Riserva Grumello 'Dossi Salati' by Dirupi is an excellent label of pure Nebbiolo, dedicated to those who love wines characterized by a vivid expressive tension, clear and mineral. In appearance, it presents a beautiful light ruby red with slight garnet reflections. Fine and elegant, it expresses aromas of violet, dried flowers, medicinal herbs, slight spicy sensations, on a background of small red berry fruits. With good structure, it has a dense and mature tannic texture, with complex and rich aromas, leading to a savory, fresh, and very persistent finish.
