Vitovska Kante 2022
Unusual grapesThe Vitovska by Kante is a white wine with a beautiful mineral and savory texture, featuring an intense bouquet where notes of loquat and apple, dried fruit, and jasmine stand out. On the palate, it is fresh, rich, and consistent, with a long persistence. Aged for 12 months in barriques and bottled without filtration
The Friulian white wine Vitovska from the Kante winery announces itself, from the very first sips, with a business card made of freshness and savoriness on the palate. A fundamental characteristic that makes the tasting very smooth, encouraging the gesture of pouring the contents of the bottle into the glass. A decidedly satisfying product, therefore, born from a local grape, the Vitovska, widely cultivated in the Trieste Karst. A label that “calls” for seafood cuisine, especially recipes for first courses made with shellfish and mollusks, with which it pairs perfectly.
This Vitovska is born from the pure use of the same grape, native to Slovenia and widely spread throughout the Karst area. The vines of this variety, whose age is around 20 years, grow within a terroir characterized by a subsoil rich in red soil and limestone rock. The grapes, carefully selected during the harvest phase to ensure only the best of the origin terroir, once arrived in the facilities designated for Kante, they vinify in white, then age for a year in barrique and 6 months in steel containers. At the end of these 18 months overall, the wine is bottled without any filtration.
The white wine Vitovska branded Kante presents itself visually with a straw yellow color, bright and shining. The aromas that envelop the nose tell of a fruity plot, from which a slight floral note emerges in the background. On the palate, it has good structure, is soft, with a sip that has a nice savory and fresh imprint, making the drinking experience engaging. A label with which the Friulian winery Kante stands out, with excellent scores, in the main Italian sector guides.
