The Albana "Santa Lusa" is a dry white wine with good structure and aromatic richness, obtained from skin maceration for a few days and aging in large concrete barrels. Apricots, yellow flowers, and honey emerge from an aromatic profile that reveals softness, articulation, intensity, and flavorful minerality on the palate.

The “Santa Lusa” is a beautiful expression of Albana Secco, characterized by an expressive and territorial richness of aromas, generous like the spirit of Romagna. The intense floral and fruity aromas are the identity card of this bottle made by the Ancarani winery, a reality always attentive to respecting the natural cycle of the vine, where copper and sulfur are the only treatments allowed to enable native grape varieties to express themselves at their best potential. Just as happens with this Albana, a white that is memorable for its aromatic profile.

The Albana Secco wine “Santa Lusa” is born from the pure use of Albana grapes, harvested from vines trained on trellises. We are within the hilly vineyards of Oriolo dei Fichi, rooted in a sandy-clay subsoil where, between the third and fourth decade of September, the bunches are manually harvested. They are then destemmed, lightly pressed, and the fermentation of the must occurs spontaneously thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts, lasting for 14-18 days in steel containers, with skin maceration for 4 days. The aging process then takes place first for 3 months on the fine lees in steel and then for another 12 months in large concrete barrels. This procedure, which reflects a production philosophy contrary to overly invasive and interventionist approaches in the winery, aims to bring out the most authentic, generous, rich, spontaneous, and complex soul of the quintessential Romagna white grape.

The “Santa Lusa” is an Albana Secco that reveals itself with a typically golden, very bright and inviting color. The aromas that alternate on the nose are layered and broad, with notes that shift from fruity to floral, also touching on light hints of honey. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping, and round, with a concentrated sip, characterized by a savory and marine mineral texture. A bottle with which the winemaker Claudio Ancarani confirms his bond with the surrounding terroir of Ravenna, gifting us a wine with an artisanal cut, produced with eco-friendly and sustainable.
