Gewurztraminer Andriano 2022

Cantina Andriano's Gewurztraminer is a white wine of great richness and aromatic intensity, which originates in the heart of South Tyrol. On the cool, sunny slopes leading from Bolzano towards Merano, this aromatic white grape variety from central Europe has found an ideal environment for expressing itself on a high level of quality. The vinification exclusively in stainless steel leaves the typical varietal characteristics of Gewurztraminer in the foreground, expressing aromas of tropical fruit, floral hints and sweet spicy notes. The soft harmony of aromas is well balanced by the typical mineral freshness that characterises South Tyrolean wines.

Gewurztraminer Andriano is a wine that originates on the hills on the left side of the valley rising towards Merano. The vineyards are cultivated at altitudes between 260 and 380 metres above sea level, on soils characterised by the presence of dolomitic limestone rocks. The Cantina di Andriano manages a total of about 80 hectares, which are owned by many small growers. The possibility of choosing the most suitable plots of land for each vine variety from a soil and climate point of view means that excellent quality grapes are always obtained. It is thanks to this richness that Cantina Andriano is able to produce a very interesting Gewurztraminer, which authentically conveys the character of the terroir.

The Gewurztraminer wine produced by the Cantina Andriano is an extraordinarily pleasant-drinking white wine that captivates and conquers with its strong personality and unique, unmistakable character. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are gently pressed and the must is fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature. Before bottling, the wine matures for about 6 months in stainless steel on the fine lees. In the glass it is light yellow in colour with luminous golden reflections. The bouquet expresses floral aromas, aromas of ripe fruit, passion fruit, litches, tropical fruit and soft spicy nuances. The sip is warm and enveloping, rich and ample, with a centre of the mouth with sweet and expressive fruit, anticipating a harmonious finish, characterised by a pleasantly fresh finish.
