For more than a century, the Veneto-based Poli Distillerie has been dedicated to the production of grappa of the highest quality, establishing itself today as one of the most important and appreciated companies in the sector, which has always been strictly family-run. The distillery's origins date back to 1898, when GioBatta Poli started the distillery business in Schiavon, in the province of Vicenza, using a mobile still to produce grappa from local pomace. The establishment of the Ditta G.B. Poli, this was the name of the distillery at the time, came in the first half of the 20th century while in 1925, following GioBatta's death, the business was passed on to his sons Beniamino, Pasquale and, most importantly, Giovanni. In the following years production grew and it was necessary to establish two more distilleries, one in Castegnero and one in Curtarolo, hence the present name Poli Distillerie. At the turn of the 1950s and 1960s, Antonio Poli, Giovanni's son, renovated and expanded the still by installing a total of eight steam boilers with two distillation columns. In the 1980s, after taking in-depth courses and master's degrees inherent to distillation and distilled spirits, Jacopo Poli, Antonio's son, joined Poli Distillerie, guiding the family business toward its ultimate consecration, bolstered by the support of his wife Cristina and siblings Barbara and Andrea. Alongside grappa, the Poli siblings began producing other high-quality distillates and liqueurs, also inaugurating the Poli Museo della Grappa in Bassano del Grappa, a must for lovers of this traditional Italian distillate.

In the production of its grappas, Poli Distillerie employs only the highest quality, fresh and healthy pomace from the best wine-growing territories in the Vicenza area and beyond. As many as 5 discontinuous cycle stills are adopted for the distillation phase, with a total of 12 steam boilers and 4 bain-marie boilers. Depending on the type of grappa, the distillate can then be bottled directly or aged in various types of wooden barrels.

Poli Distillerie's production focuses on grappa, a famous distillate that the Poli family has been producing for generations. These are grappas that can encapsulate the essence of an all-Italian culture, at the top quality level of the category.
