Luigi Baudana Barolo wine is produced by the Vajra winery, based in the Vergne hamlet of Barolo. The winery manages a beautiful estate in the commune of Barolo, with the historic vineyards of Bricco delle Viole and Vergne, as well as the prized Luigi Baudana vineyards of Serralunga d'Alba. The winery's philosophy is inspired by a vineyard approach that respects nature and the environment without the use of chemicals. The wines are the result of passion and a continuous search for absolute quality without compromise. Vajra's labels have the classic face of the best Langhe wines, in keeping with the great tradition of the area. The Luigi Baudana Cru vineyard has been known for centuries for the quality of its grapes. At the end of the harvest, fermentation lasting about a month is carried out, followed by about ten days of maceration on the skins. It is aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 42 months and completes its rest in the bottle.
Vajra's Barolo Luigi Baudana is a classy bottle to enjoy at an important dinner party. In the glass, it is garnet red in colour. The nose expresses aromas of cherry, berries, plum, hints of spice, liquorice root and balsamic hints.
