BAROLO 'PAJANA' DOMENICO CLERICO 2017 DESCRIPTION

Barolo "Pajana" is a product with personality, destined to become even stronger with the passage of time. Yes, because it is a pure Nebbiolo that stands out for longevity and thus represents a smart investment, as it promises to give emotions even for the next 15-20 years. A bottle with which the winery of Domenico Clerico, an important name within the Langhe, confirms its blazon and its ability to be able to decline each parcel, highlighting its characteristics. If you need to give a gift to a friend who is fond of great wines, you will be on the safe side with this "Pajana."

"Pajana" Barolo comes from the pure use of a red grape variety from Piedmont, Nebbiolo, a variety that has always been capable of producing exceptional red wines. The vines, over forty years old, are grown by Domenico Clerico's team in the Ginestra cru, within a parcel rich in limestone and clay. After harvesting, the grapes macerate for 20-30 days in steel, fermenting thanks to the presence of indigenous yeasts spontaneously, and then mature in barriques, 80% new, for a period of 24-30 months, at the end of which bottling operations take place.

Clerico "Pajana" is a Barolo DOCG that is tinged with an intense ruby colour, with nuances that tend toward garnet in the rim. The nose opens on spicy notes of coffee and cocoa, then moves towards wild berries and sensations that bring back dried flowers. The palate is full-bodied, strong and vigorous, with an evident tannic grip, which envelops the drink giving it a nice persistence. A Piedmontese red that, among its many merits, also has that of winning interesting scores both on Italian soil and abroad.
