MULLER THURGAU CANTINA TERLANO 2023 DESCRIPTION

Muller Thurgau white wine is a fine example of what this classic Alto Adige grape variety can offer in the glass. Indeed, it is with pleasure that one discovers a deliciously aromatic nose, the prelude to a sip that develops with freshness, giving a refined drink. The signature of this label is from Cantina Terlano, a production reality that succeeds in combining quality and quantity, resulting in a range of products that are always reliable, just like this Muller Thurgau.

Muller Thurgau comes from vineyards that fall within the South Tyrolean DOC in the environs of Terlan, a municipality particularly suited to the cultivation of this vine. These are hilly soils, yes, but characterized by considerable steepness, which can reach up to 900 meters above sea level. The clusters are harvested by hand and pressed entirely during the grape harvest. Racking takes place by natural sedimentation, and the must then ferments at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. We then proceed to the ageing phase, in which the wine is left to mature for 5-7 months on fine yeasts in steel drums; at the end of this, bottling and marketing are carried out.

Terlano Muller Thurgau develops a light straw yellow colour to the eye. The nose has intense and enveloping aromas, very aromatic, from which a clear reference to fruit, especially tropical fruit, emerges. On the palate, it is light-bodied and elegant, with an aromatic and soft sip, characterized by a finish of excellent persistence. A bottle that, among its many merits, also has that of being extremely versatile in the kitchen, where it accompanies fish menus and aperitif appetizers with refinement and pleasantness.
