TERLANER CUVÉE BIANCO CANTINA TERLANO 2023 DESCRIPTION

Cantina Terlano's Terlaner Cuvée Bianco represents the tradition and history of an area where international white grape varieties have found an ideal habitat to express themselves on remarkable levels of quality. It is the ideal label to delve into the range of wines from this prestigious South Tyrolean winery and to appreciate its rigorous, limpid and mineral style, which is then also found in the pure versions of the three grapes used here. Pinot Blanc lends balance, elegance and harmony, Chardonnay gives rich, fragrant fruit notes, and Sauvignon Blanc contributes fresh aromatics to the blend.

Cantina Terlano's Cuvée Bianco Terlaner comes from a skilful and balanced blending of a selection of local grapes. The vineyards are cultivated on Terlano's hillsides, located at an altitude of 300 to 700 meters above sea level and characterized by the presence of soils generated by the disintegration of quartz porphyry of ancient volcanic origin. These are poor, draining soils composed of sands with a small presence of clay resting on a quartz parent rock. The climate, cool and always ventilated, is marked by strong temperature ranges, which favour slow ripening and the development of rich and elegant aromatic kits. Gentle crushing of the grapes is followed by temperature-controlled vinification in stainless steel vats. The wine matures 80% in stainless steel tanks and 20% in large wooden barrels for a period of about 6 months.

Cantina Terlano's Terlaner Cuvée Bianco is the label that best represents the typical terroir of the production area. The choice of the blend, in fact, consists of going beyond the single varietal in purity to highlight and bring to the fore characteristics of the soils and climate. It is straw yellow in colour with luminous greenish highlights. The bouquet gives elegant aromas of white-fleshed fruit, peach, green apple, hints of citrus and nuances of medicinal herbs.
