'SAMAS' AGRIPUNICA 2022 DESCRIPTION

The Sardinian white wine "Samas" is a blend with which the Agripunica winery combines a love for native grape varieties, personified in this case by Vermentino, with a more international vision, represented by the percentage of Chardonnay present in the final blend. The result is a label with a dynamic sip, where sapidity is a component that drives the entire taste experience, both on the nose and in the mouth. A label suitable for all seasons, perfect for every time you don't know what to put on the table. A wild card to always have on hand!

This "Samas" is made by the Agripunica winery with a blend led by the symbolic white grape variety of Sardinian viticulture, Vermentino, accompanied by 20 percent Chardonnay. Both varieties grow on predominantly sandy soils close to the coastal zone. The berries are harvested during the early morning hours to preserve the freshness of the grapes, which, once they reach the winemaking facilities, are pressed whole cluster and then undergo a brief cryomaceration. Each grape then ferments separately in temperature-controlled steel containers. This is followed by the aging phase, carried out first for two and a half months in steel, of which 40 days are spent on the fine lees, and then, after blending, for another three months in cement tanks.

The white wine "Samas" Agripunica presents itself to the eye with a straw yellow color, very bright and shining to the eye. The scents that envelop the nose bring out fruity and savory notes, marine sensations, enriched by pleasant floral aromas. The palate is fine-bodied, light, slender and flowing, with an energetic sip, from which a pleasant mineral texture emerges. All the beauty of Sardinia is encapsulated in a sip of this "Samas," a pleasant discovery for lunch and dinners, where it accompanies various recipes and ingredients with versatility: it finds its gastronomic consecration with fish dishes.
