The Barolo Chinato by G.D. Vajra is obtained from Barolo "Albe", which is the version designed as a "base" as it comes from three different vineyards and, therefore, is able to express three different facets of Nebbiolo. With this rich personality in the background, Barolo Chinato is defined by the addition of spices, aromatic herbs, flowers, and roots. It represents a tradition of Langa, based on the mysterious alchemy of herbal infusions that, integrating with the noble and elegant personality of Barolo, can create aromatic weaves of great complexity. Vajra's is a Barolo Chinato that plays on the pleasantness and fine balance between sweetness and the bitter perception.

G.D. Vajra Barolo Chinato is composed of 85% Barolo DOCG "Albe" and the remaining 15% of hydroalcoholic extracts of aromatic and medicinal herbs. Like every winery, Vajra also jealously guards its own recipe. The choice of herbs used has mainly fallen on those with particular digestive properties,decongestant and relaxing, coming from the alpine flora that populates the surrounding hills of the region. The addition of organic Sicilian orange peels, spices, and cane sugar completes the processing.

The flavored Barolo Chinato by Vajra presents an intense ruby color. On the nose, it impacts with a spicy texture of wild herbs, cloves, and cinchona, set against a background that clearly refers to the fruity personality of Barolo Albe. The taste is intense and pungent, finely balanced in its sugary component and bitter aftertaste. Once used as a medicine, today Barolo Chinato is a tribute to the balance of flavors.
