Gin Mare is the first authentic Mediterranean gin obtained from the highest quality raw materials. It is produced by applying traditional Mediterranean techniques inside the Vilanova distillery, between Costa Brava and Costa Dorada, through a discontinuous distillation process carried out in a special 250-liter Florentine pot still. All starts with the infusion and mixing of 8 carefully selected botanicals: the obtained distillate carries in its DNA the distinctive organoleptic characteristics of the Mediterranean: Arbequina olive, basil from Italy, rosemary from Greece, thyme from Turkey, citrus from Spain, juniper, coriander and cardamom. Like the classic Gin Mare, the ‘Lanterna Christmas Edition’ Gin Mare is produced in Spain, specifically on the Catalan coast of Vilanova i la Geltru, starting from a selection of typical Mediterranean ingredients, such as: Arbequina olives, Italian basil, Greek rosemary, Turkish thyme, Spanish citrus, coriander, and green cardamom, along with of course the juniper berries, a fundamental ingredient for any gin. All these botanicals undergo a delicate separate maceration process, followed by the distillation of each infusion using a 250-liter copper Florentine still, according to the discontinuous method.250 liters, according to the discontinuous method.
