Spumante Metodo Classico Nature 'Arcano 180 Lune' Nicola Gatta
ArtisanalThe Sparkling Wine Classic Method "180 Lune" by Nicola Gatta has an evolved, elegant and deep profile, aged for 180 months (moons) on the lees. Wide and rich, refined and subtle, fine and creamy, it gives a complex bouquet of white pulp fruit, dried fruit, pastry ideas, spices and honey.
The Spumante Metodo Classico Nature “Arcano 180 Lune” by Nicola Gatta is the flagship of the production of the giant from Gussago, a classic method aged 15 years on the lees, with a disconcerting depth. It is well known that Nicola Gatta is one of the best producers of Franciacorta, and by extension of classic methods in Italy, but this wine is truly a unique creation. A very long aging on the lees, sealing a work made with care and respect for the vineyard and territory, which are not treated with any chemical substances, but rather enhanced by following the principles of biodynamics. The varieties cultivated are obviously those designated for classic method production in Franciacorta, namely Pinot Nero and Chardonnay, which thanks to Nicola's sensitivity reach unimaginable heights of complexity, both in purity and in blend. In a word, unmissable.
The Nature “Arcano 180 Lune” is a Metodo Classico obtained from an equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Nero, coming from vineyards located between Gussago and Cellatica. In the vineyard, as already mentioned, there is no use of pesticides, herbicides, or any chemical substances, only using copper, sulfur, and biodynamic preparations. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation of the base wines continues, and refermentation in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico with aging of 15 years on the lees.
The Spumante Metodo Classico Nature 'Arcano 180 Lune' presents itself in the glass with a golden hue and fine, persistent bubbles. A kaleidoscopic nose that is frankly unclassifiable due to the variety of references and suggestions, ranging from pastry cream to citrus fruits, from zabaglione to dried fruit and much more. The sip is broad, relaxed, and creamy, endowed with a seductive maturity but at the same time with backbone and a salty finish. Impressive.
