Spumante Sauvignon Chardonnay Brut 'Tener' Jeroboam Banfi

The Brut Spumante Sauvignon Chardonnay “Tener” is a sparkling wine that Banfi produces within its Piedmont estate. The winery has indeed shifted its interest over the years not only to the two historic properties in Tuscany but also within Piemonte, backed by an experience and a brand that have facilitated this “expansion.” This is a bottle that comes from the union of Chardonnay and Sauvignon, the latter rarely used for sparkling wines, but capable of giving the “Tener” very fragrant aromas and flavors. And it is indeed during the tasting that one realizes how this label flows with linearity and freshness, asserting itself with lightness and punctuality.

This Brut “Tener” Banfi is a Spumante that comes from the union of Sauvignon and Chardonnay, where the former is slightly predominant in the final blend. The grapes are carefully harvested during the harvest phase, and then immediately transported to the winery. The must obtained from the pressing of selected grapes during the destemming operations, it undergoes a long fermentation in temperature-controlled autoclaves, following the production principles of the Martinotti Method.

The Spumante Sauvignon Chardonnay Brut “Tener” Banfi presents itself visually with a straw yellow color, crossed by a fine foam and a persistent perlage. The nose reveals light and pleasant fruity tones, enriched by hints that gradually shift more towards floral. On the palate, it has a light body, enveloping on the palate thanks to a comfortable softness, primarily brought by the excellent quality of the foam and then by a well-developed fruity taste.
