The Torgiano Rosso Riserva Vigna Monticchio is a red wine with a warm and intense profile based on Sangiovese grapes. The aromatic set is rich and complex with hints of cherry, spices and chocolate. The taste is powerful and solid, characterized by an intense tannin and a soft and velvety sip

The Rubesco Vigna Monticchio is a wine from the Lungarotti winery that stands out for its class and elegance. It is not easy to consistently remain a benchmark in the Italian wine scene, especially with a history of over 50 years. The Lungarotti winery, located in Torgiano but with vineyards also in Montefalco, has succeeded in this endeavor by always maintaining high quality standards across its wide range of products, seeking a careful balance between tradition and measured modernity. Today, the winery consists of about 250 hectares of vineyards, with indigenous varieties such as Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Trebbiano, and Grechetto, as well as international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Pinot Grigio. A guarantee, always.

The red Rubesco Vigna Monticchio is one of the flagship wines of the Lungarotti winery and comes from a blend of Sangiovese and Colorino. Amazing for its aging capacity, the grapes used to produce this liquid are selected through a careful double sorting and brought to the winery for destemming and crushing. The fermentation of the liquid takes place in steel containers with maceration on the skins for about 15-20 days and aging for about one year in barrique followed by several years of bottle aging so that the wine is released on the market only when ready.

The Torgiano Riserva Vigna Monticchio fills the glass with its intensely ruby color. It reveals all its complexity from the very first sniff, with a nose that speaks of plum, blackberry, dried violets, black pepper, along with a refreshing menthol balsamic note. Then there are the sweetnesses such as chocolate and wafer. The sip outlines a wine full and seductive, extremely tasty, that flows on the palate like velvet due to an accentuated softness but perfectly balanced by the right amount of freshness and sapidity. A great wine, capable of aging for decades even improving. An icon.
