The "Vinosauro" is an orange wine produced in Ancona based on Trebbiano grapes and aged in Georgian terracotta amphorae. The new creature of Tenuta San Marcello has a straightforward, territorial, rough and rustic profile, with a light tannic sensations, accompanied by notes of acacia honey, candied citrus fruits, sweet spices and hints of dried fruit. Artisanal wine

The “Vinosauro” from Tenuta San Marcello is a complex and profound expression of Trebbiano vinified in Georgian amphorae, which impresses with its expressive spontaneity. The one from Tenuta San Marcello, while speaking of a rather young reality, is a project that started with clear ideas, passion, and sensitivity, fundamental requirements for those like Massimo Palmieri and Pascale Marquet who approach the vineyard wanting to obtain identity and character expressions. About 4 hectares of vines, immersed in a suggestive natural setting not far from Ancona, where the native grape varieties of tradition such as Verdicchio, Trebbiano, and Lacrima obviously find space, the latter grape known for its bold aromaticity. In the vineyard, the use of chemical and synthetic substances is avoided, relying on natural preparations to enhance the vitality of the soil, and this attitude is confirmed by equally respectful work in the cellar. Snapshots of territory in liquid form, good and above all at fair prices. What more could you ask for?

The white “Vinosauro” is a pure expression of Trebbiano, the latest novelty from the delightful Marche reality. The idea of tackling vinification in Georgian amphorae is not random, and the idea of bottling a centered but at the same time rich in expressiveness liquid is supported by the talented hand in the cellar of Massimo and Pascale. In addition to the use of Qvevri, during the vinification phase the liquid remains in contact with its own skins, thus obtaining a great intensity and definition orange wine.

The “Vinosauro” San Marcello presents itself in the glass with an intense yellow hue that shifts towards amber. A rich and articulated nose, ranging from hints of candied fruit to oriental spices, from acacia honey to toasted almond. The sip is full, fleshy, and enlivened by a pleasant tannic friction, which significantly enhances the possibilities of the liquid even in a gastronomic perspective. Well-rounded.
