The Benriach 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is one of the most well-known bottles from the famous Scottish brand. This whisky is made according to the classic models of the Speyside region. Soft, rich, fruity, and seductive, it captivates with its fruity and malty sweetness, enhanced by more complex nuances derived from the aromatic facets of a selection of noble woods, crafted with great care and attention. Its tasting characteristics make it very pleasant to sip neat or with ice, but also to use for creating elegant cocktails.
The 10 Year Old Single Malt is a whisky from a historic brand: Benriach Distillery has been producing whisky of extraordinary quality since 1898, and its location is where the ancient Riach farm once stood. Its privileged position in the north of the Speyside region allows it to rely on light and pure water, sourced from a deep spring located near the distillery. The malt used is of the highest quality and the entire distillation process takes place under the supervision of Master Blender Rachel Barrie, who meticulously follows the oldest protocols inspired by still artisanal methods. At the end of the distillation phase, the whisky, fresh and fragrant, aromatic and fruity, begins its aging process, which lasts a full 10 years. The distillery uses three different types of wood, each contributing with its particular characteristics to enrich and make the aromatic profile of the distillate more complex: Bourbon casks, casks previously used for sweet wines from Jerez, and virgin oak casks.
The 10 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is the perfect label to approach the world of Benriach Distillery and its unmistakable style, inspired by the best local traditions. It presents itself with a beautiful bright antique gold appearance. It seduces the nose with a bouquet characterized by broad and rich aromas reminiscent of ripe yellow fruit, malty softness, the sweetness of acacia honey, pastry, the hints of orange peel, notes of vanilla, sweet oriental spices, almond, dried fruit, bitter cocoa, noble woods, and a slight toasted nuance. The entry on the palate is characterized by a seductive and enveloping softness, translating into a harmonious sip with rich, sweet, and intense aromas that lead to a satisfying and persistent finish.
