
Champagne Demi Sec 'Royal Blue Sky' Pommery (confezione)
Pommery's 'Royal Blue Sky' is a Demi Sec Champagne made in the Champagne region from Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay grapes. After at least 24 months on the lees and blending with sugar, a sweet, intense and pleasant product with complex hints of mango, almonds, figs and honey is obtained. A contemporary bubbly, with the particular characteristic that it can also be enjoyed on the rocks, together with savoury finger food, fruit tarts or fish and shellfish hors d'oeuvres
The Champagne Demi-Sec ‘Royal Blue Sky’ from the renowned sparkling wine house Pommery is a slightly sweet sparkling wine, a characteristic that contributes to the overall sensation of creamy softness. Distinguished by an innovative and easily recognizable packaging, this Champagne represents a reinterpretation of the classic style of Maison Pommery in a very modern key, emphasized by the wording “Sur Glace” present on the label, literally “on ice”. In fact, the producer suggests enjoying the ‘Royal Sky Blue’ in a round glass with a few ice cubes, to enhance the carefree drinking experience of this Champagne.
For the production of the ‘Royal Blue Sky’ Champagne Demi-Sec by Pommery, a blend of Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay grapes from 20 different selected plots, located in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims areas, is carried out. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified in white through gentle pressing and subsequent alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Once ready, the sparkling base is then bottled with the addition of liqueur de tirage for refermentation in the bottle according to the prestigious Champenoise Method, associated with 24 months of aging on the lees. The final dosage is in the range of Demi-Sec, that is between 32 and 50 g/l of residual sugars.
The ‘Royal Blue Sky’ Pommery Champagne Demi-Sec has a bright straw-yellow color with fine and persistent effervescence. The nose presents mature notes of mango, bitter orange jam, dried fig, and almond, enriched by sweet hints of frangipane cream and acacia honey. The balanced sweetness on the palate combines with good freshness in an intense progression, characterized by a pleasant and persistent finish.
