Champagne Extra Brut is a traditional bubble that embodies the style and elegance of the famous Gosset maison. Aged for 4 years on the lees, it expresses fragrant notes of acaia flowers, hawthorn, pear, peaches and more ripe sensations of dried fruit and mineral memories. Tension and depth are the distinctive elements, accompanied by a creamy perlage and a slender mineral freshness

Gosset presents its Champagne Extra Brut, an elegant yet immediate sparkling wine that effectively introduces the style and imprint of the Maison the oldest in Champagne. To trace the roots of this Négociant Manipulant from Aÿ, we must go back over 4 centuries, specifically to the distant year 1584, when Pierre Gosset vinified the first grapes. Until the 18th century, production consisted solely of still wines, mostly reds, and it was during this period that Simon Gosset decided to create one of the first sparkling wines of the Region. All labels are presented in the ancient Champagne flask used in the 1700s, and in the cellar, malolactic fermentation is avoided in order to preserve the natural freshness and fruity component of the wine.

The Cuvée Extra Brut by Gosset is produced from a blend of the classic champenoise grape varieties: Pinot Noir (40%), Pinot Meunier (32%), and Chardonnay (28%). The first fermentation takes place in steel without malolactic fermentation. Subsequently, the refermentation of the winebase occurs in the bottle according to the Classic Method and the aging sur lie lasts for at least 48 months, followed by an additional 6-9 months of rest in the underground caves after the dégorgement and the Extra Brut dosage.

In the glass, the AOC Gosset Extra Brut Champagne appears bright straw yellow with fine and persistent perlage. The aromatic spectrum is vast with inviting and fragrant notes of white-fleshed fruit, citrus, plums, and white flowers, which combine with perceptions of dried fruit. On the palate, it is creamy, slender, and deep, very tense and with great minerality. In the imagination of the Maison, this sparkling wine must be an expression without ostentation or frills, to be enjoyed on any occasion paired with fish tartare.
