The Extra Brut Premier Cru Champagne "L'Ouverture" by Frederic Savart is a Blanc de Noirs of great expressive intensity, made from grapes from old vines exclusively cultivated in Premier Cru parcels of the estate. It reveals the extraordinary potential of pure Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims, offering the experience of a Champagne with good structure, complex, deep, and with great vertical tension. It is a fascinating and sublime label, expressing floral scents, fruity aromas, and a wide aromatic spectrum of evolving nuances that make each sip unique and original.
"L'Ouverture" is an Extra Brut Champagne that comes to life in a small Maison run by one of the most renowned vignerons in Champagne, Frederic Savart, who cultivates 6 hectares of vineyard in the Premier Cru territories of Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds. Frederic represents the third generation of winemakers dedicated to producing great Champagnes, with utmost attention to the vineyard, using only manual labor and a qualitative production based on low yields. Thanks to this particular care in agronomic management and in highly vocated parcels, the young talent has imposed himself on the attention of the most curious enthusiasts for a recognizable style and a quality always at the top of production. His Champagnes tell in a glass the character of origin with great elegance, finesse, and complexity.
Extra Brut Premier Cru “L’Ouverture” by Frederic Savart is a Champagne that comes from the vineyards of the estate located in the municipal territories classified as Premier Cru of Ecueil and Villers-aux-Noeuds. The soils are characterized by the presence of precious lands formed by deep chalky layers, which give the wines a particular mineral vein. The Champagne is born from the blending of vins clairs from three different vintages, in order to express the right harmony and complexity, and undergoes a second fermentation in the bottle according to the Champenoise Method, with a resting on the lees of at least 24 months. It presents itself with a brilliant and luminous straw yellow color, crossed by a fine and persistent perlage. The olfactory passport is characterized by a refined aromatic facet with aromas of citrus, white peach, cartucciaro melon, softness of pain brioche, hints of white flowers, iodized and mineral sensations. On the palate it is tense and satisfying, deep and intense, refined and fine, with a finish characterized by a vibrant freshness, chalky and mineral.
