"Davvero" is a pure Riesling made by the Calalta winery in the Veneto region of Vicenza. Only indigenous yeasts are used for the production of this label, a 10-day maceration on the skins is carried out, the refinement of 6 months is carried out in oak tonneaux and no filtrations are performed. The colour is a brilliant amber yellow and the intense aromas released are reminiscent of ripe yellow-fleshed fruit and balsamic sensations. The taste is ample, complex, fresh, sapid and with a slightly tannic finish.

“Davvero” by Calalta is a pure Riesling, a dynamic field wine produced in the high Vicenza area. The history of the winery began in the 1960s, at the foot of Monte Grappa, 150 meters above sea level. But only since 2013 have the young Nicola Brunetti and Giulia Zanesco, motivated and aware, dedicated themselves to expressing the best of these 16 hectares of Veneto viticulture, where biodiversity traces the path of the wines and the winery.

The label “Davvero” originates in the areas facing east, where an immersive experience prevails: the woods, the olive trees, and a small lake embrace the high-density vineyards that push their roots deep into an acidic soil among stones and clay with silicates of iron and aluminum. In the municipality of Mussolente, nature joyfully intertwines with the agronomic principles of Calalta: cover cropping reigns between the rows, which are sown with grass and legume cover crops, left to grow and express themselves until flowering. The fermentation is carried out by indigenous yeasts, followed by a 10 days of maceration and a 6-month rest in oak tonneaux. By philosophy, they do not allow any systemic treatments in the field, and there are no filtrations in the winery, nor the use of additives.

The Riesling from Calalta is lively, dynamic, and extremely pleasant to drink. It appears vibrant in its amber reflections, with an opalescent golden yellow. Its complexity reveals notes of ripe fruit, dried fruit, and some citrus hints. It is particularly gastronomic, and it could pair well with aged goat cheese or pasta in a vegetarian sauce. The tannic image it provides in the finish completes its profile, without the possibility of being weighed down but aided by a fresh and savory vein.
