The Moscato d'Asti by Vajra is a sweet wine capable of surprising with its extraordinary aromaticity, paired with a unique and irresistible finesse. Elegant, graceful, intriguing, soft, sweet, vibrant, articulated. It is a unique flow of typical moscato notes, with a truly significant feminine sweetness. A tasting that grows vertiginously, offering flowers first and then yellow-fleshed fruit.
We are in the Riforno vineyard, in the municipality of Mango, on a vineyard planted between 1986 and 2007, with a full south exposure, at the top of a hill. Vajra has always believed in sustainable agriculture, with natural cover crops in the vineyards, without resorting to irrigation and with thinning based on the natural course of the vintage. The Moscato is harvested in the first half of September and is left to cold settle before a fermentation that lasts 7 days. It then remains in steel to preserve its natural effervescence.
Giuseppe Vajra loves to define his Moscato as a "continuity of flavors between fruit and wine" that comes from a vineyard capable of “to deliver to us the splendid aromaticity of this grape variety”.
