The Moscato Giallo from San Michele Appiano is a white wine from Alto Adige with a clear aromatic imprint, which delights the palate thanks to its remarkable freshness. The nose is enveloped by hints of aromatic herbs, primarily sage, and then touches on various fruity nuances before opening up on the palate with a linear and crisp sip. A label already ready now, but which can still be kept for a few more years, to taste it in a more evolved form. At the table, try it with a seafood menu or during aperitif time, where it is perfect with various types of canapés, snacks, and finger food.
This Moscato Giallo from San Michele Appiano originates from vines aged between 10 and 20 years, located in the vineyards surrounding the municipality of San Michele Appiano, at about 400 meters above sea level. The terroir is of alluvial origin. The grapes are hand-picked towards the end of September, and the must obtained from pressing the grapes ferments in steel containers where the temperature is kept under control. The final aging lasts a few months and takes place in steel until the liquid is deemed ready to be bottled.
The San Michele Appiano Moscato Giallo presents itself to the eye with a light straw yellow color, never too concentrated and crossed by more greenish reflections visible at the rim. The nose has a clear aromatic profile, played on notes reminiscent of sage and other more fruity sensations. On the palate, it is light-bodied, characterized by a wide and refreshing sip, which facilitates a harmonious and lively drinking experience. A label that is part of the most classic selection of the San Michele Appiano winery, perfect for those who want to approach the Moscato grape in a dry version.
