The Langhe Nebbiolo from the Piedmontese winery Vajra is a label capable of showcasing the most direct, pure, and accessible face of Nebbiolo, a variety that has written the enological history of Piemonte and Italy in general. It is a very ancient grape variety, mentioned in documents in the Alba area as far back as 1292, very sensitive to the pedoclimatic characteristics of the territory and therefore found only in a few chosen places like the Langhe.  

Vajra Langhe Nebbiolo represents a pure expression of the namesake black grape variety, coming from young vines aged between 10 and 25 years. The grapes, grown according to the principles of organic farming, are harvested in the early hours of the morning and then pressed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation accompanied by a long and delicate skin maceration, with complete and spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The maturation phase of several months takes place in the same type of wine containers and after a short period of bottle aging the wine is ready for release on the market.

In visual examination, the Nebbiolo Langhe from Vajra presents itself with a light ruby red and transparent color. On the nose, intense and crisp perceptions of violet and rose emerge, supported by fresh hints of red fruits and fascinating notes of lavender and mint. The taste progression is delicate, fine, and dynamic, elegant and with character, with vibrant freshness and silky tannins. The finish emphasizes irresistible floral sensations and red fruits consistent with the nose. A Nebbiolo of remarkable momentum and versatility in food-wine pairing, capable of accompanying a wide range of dishes such as cheese and cold cuts platters, hearty first courses, and various meat preparations.
