Pinot Noir "Bohan Dillon" is a balanced and full-bodied red wine that recounts the territory of the Sonoma Coast of California. Aged for 11-16 months in wood, it has a dynamic and fresh body, elegant and intense, with a bouquet of wild berries, cherry tart, licorice and hints of undergrowth.

The Pinot Noir “Bohan Dillon” from Hirsch Vineyards is a fresh and fruity red, born in one of the oldest and most famous wine regions in the United States. The estate is located near Fort Ross, along the Sonoma Coast, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Since the 1970s, the area has proven particularly suited for the cultivation of Burgundy varieties, which express themselves at excellent quality levels, and in particular, Hirsch Vineyards was the first company to plant Pinot Noir in Sonoma. Today, thanks to a deep knowledge of the territory and decades of experience in cultivating this demanding variety, it is able to offer labels of remarkable quality that can compete without fear with the best Pinot Noir produced in the world.

“Bohan Dillon” is a young character Pinot Noir that is born within the Hirsch Vineyards estate. The company was founded in 1980 in an area with great potential. The soils are very suited and varied, composed of sandstones and clays, mixed by the action of the San Andreas fault.  The cool and breezy climate, with significant temperature variations, mitigated by the presence of the ocean, offers a very favorable habitat for Pinot Noir. The vineyards are cultivated on the first hills, which rise from the coast inland. The gentle hills offer beautiful sunny exposures, ensuring perfect ripening of the grapes. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are fermented with skin maceration, and before bottling, the wine matures in French oak barrels.

The Pinot Noir “Bohan Dillon” Hirsch Vineyards is a version of the classic Burgundy red characterized by a pleasant smoothness and expressive immediacy. It is excellent to taste with not too demanding pairings, first courses with meat ragù, white meats with delicate preparations.
