The Sauvignon from Russiz Superiore is a white wine produced in Collio that is vinified and aged in steel and for a small part in wood. The olfactory profile is composed of typical and aromatic notes of the varietal: hints of citrus, green notes, hints of bell pepper, hints of aromatic herbs, light spices, and white flowers. The sip is of great freshness and minerality, very balanced and smooth

The Sauvignon Russiz Superiore is a white wine that combines depth and drinkability, yet another success from one of the most prestigious wineries in Collio Friulano. It is a centuries-old story that connects the Felluga family and Friuli Venezia Giulia, especially when talking about border lands such as Collio and Istria. Although the tradition of viticulture has always been inherent in the family, the real qualitative leap occurs when Marco Felluga takes the reins of the winery in 1956, followed by subsequent generations who contribute to the achievement of international fame not only for the company but also for the Collio wine region. Today, the family heads two different wineries, and the Russiz Superiore company works only with allochthonous varieties that have become an integral part of the Friulian territory. The liquids produced are characterized by finesse and gustatory harmony, but they also have great evolutionary potential, so much so that they can be pleasantly enjoyed now but also awaited for years.

The Russiz Sauvignon is obtained from grapes of the homonymous variety, coming from vineyards located in Capriva del Friuli at an altitude between 80 and 200 meters. In the vineyard, meticulous manual harvesting is carried out to select the best bunches available, while in the winery, cold maceration and separation of the must take place, which is fermented 15% in oak barrels while the remaining part in steel. The liquid ages for 8 months on its own yeasts before bottling.

The Sauvignon Russiz presents itself in the glass with a straw-yellow color edged with greenish hues. Impactful and recognizable nose, characterized by vegetal notes of sage, tomato leaf, acacia, and grapefruit, which create a fresh and pleasantly pungent profile. On the palate, the wine reveals itself to be extremely balanced, and the entry driven by freshness and sapidity is balanced by structure and soft components. Symphonic.
