The Barolo Cerretta Luigi Baudana - Vajra is an elegant and austere red wine from the Langhe, made from Nebbiolo grapes aged for 48 months in large oak barrels: it expresses a distinctly mineral personality accompanied by intense aromas of cherries and ripe raspberries, refreshed by balsamic echoes of eucalyptus and framed by notes of leather and spices, while on the palate it is vibrant, infinitely persistent, and exciting.

The Barolo “Cerretta” Luigi Baudana by Vajra is a label born from the collaboration between two historic families of the Langhe. Since 2009, Luigi and Fiorina Baudana, owners of the small estate in Serralunga d'Alba, have decided to entrust the management of their prestigious vineyard to the Vajra winery. This is a historic estate that has been producing grapes of the highest quality for centuries, recognized as some of the best in the area. A heritage of old vines and artisanal care in all processing stages allows for the creation of labels of absolute excellence, capable of telling the story of this great Piedmontese wine. An authentic expression of the terroir of Serralunga d'Alba, it is a Barolo stern, deep, complex, and very long-lived.

The “Cerretta” is a Barolo that very well expresses the history of the Langhe territory. The Baudana family, for over five generations, has cultivated vines in Serralunga and represents a precious memory of the territory. The small estate, just over two hectares, consists of high-quality vines, which today have found a full valuation with the collaboration of the Vajra family. The wine comes from a parcel of the cru Ceretta, located on the eastern slope of the Serralunga hill, characterized by soils belonging to the Lequio Formations, composed of a superficial layer of white marls and a deep subsoil of red clay. The vines were planted in the 1970s, with different biotypes of Nebbiolo selected from Luigi Baudana's experience. At the end of the harvest, a slow fermentation takes place in large barrels, lasting over a month, followed by a submerged cap maceration phase. The wine matures for 32 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and completes its aging in the bottle.

The “Cerretta” Barolo Vajra is a label that offers a traditional and classic version of the great red of the Langhe, capable of perfectly interpreting the characteristics of the Serralunga d'Alba area. It is a bottle reserved for lovers of old-style Barolo, with great structure and a severe and deep profile. In appearance, it presents a garnet red with bright
