The Chianti Classico Riserva "Tenuta Perano" is a full-bodied and structured red wine, with excellent freshness, matured for 24 months in large barrels. Forest, floral and fruity aromas, with nuances of black pepper, humus and other spices follow in a balanced, elegant, clear and persistent tasting experience.

The Chianti Classico Riserva “Tenuta Perano” is an impeccable Tuscan red, another idea realized by the historic estate Frescobaldi. The Sangiovese, in fact, is the protagonist grape although one must not forget the small percentage allocated in the final blend to Merlot, grows in a terroir strongly suited to its cultivation and is therefore capable of bringing to harvest grapes of unquestionable quality. Thus, a label rich in personality is born, characterized by a long and harmonious finish, which summarizes in taste and aroma the complexity of the terroir of Gaiole in Chianti.

“Tenuta Perano” is a Chianti Classico Riserva that comes from a blend led by Sangiovese to which a slight percentage of an international grape that feels particularly at home in Tuscany, Merlot, is also added. The vines of these two varieties are cultivated within a vineyard characterized by an amphitheater shape near Gaiole in Chianti, at about 500 meters above sea level and with a south and southwest exposure. We are within a terroir where Sangiovese manages to express itself at very high levels, also thanks to careful manual selection carried out in the vineyard during the harvest. After vinification, followed with the usual care by Frescobaldi, it matures for 24 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

The Chianti Classico Riserva “Tenuta Perano” develops in the glass with a typically ruby color, crossed by more violet reflections. The nose is concentrated, where spicy and floral notes blend with fruity and floral touches, from which hints of underbrush nuances also emerge. On the palate, it is of excellent body, structured, with an elegant sip, marked by a fresh vein that makes the drinking smooth and easy; the tannic structure is dense. A bottle with which the Marchesi de’ Frescobaldi winery tells the terroir of Chianti with style and quality, qualities recognized not only by enthusiasts of Tuscan reds but also by important international critics.
