Crozes-Hermitage “Les Meysonniers” is a Syrah from the Rhône Valley with a full-bodied and elegant profile, matured for 12 months in cement tanks and wooden barrels. It expresses a broad and round character, with a soft structure and enveloping quality, marked by notes of red fruit, blackcurrant, blueberry, raspberry, violet, and sweet spices.

The Crozes-Hermitage Rouge “Les Meysonniers” by Michel Chapoutier is a label that takes its name from the first owner of the vineyards from which the wine is produced. It is a pure Syrah that expresses the terroir very well, highlighting its typically mineral character, which enriches the wide and elegant aromatic profile of the grape variety. It is a harmonious red, with good structure and aromatic complexity, very pleasant to taste right away, but it also has good aging potential. It is particularly suitable for pairing with roasts, grilled meat, or small game.

“Les Meysonniers” is a Crozes-Hermitage Rouge by Michel Chapoutier made from Syrah grapes sourced from company vineyards cultivated on slopes beautifully exposed to the south, on soils formed by ancient alluvial terraces created over millennia by the Rhône and the Isère, composed of clays, pebbles, and gravels. The vines are managed under certified organic farming practices, without any use of chemical products and with a breeding system that promotes the development of a deep root system, allowing the plants to draw on the resources of the soil and not suffer from water stress. The harvest takes place with manual picking at full ripeness and with selection in the vineyard of the best bunches. Fermentation is carried out in concrete tanks, with skin maceration and pump-overs. The wine ages for 12 months, 85% in concrete tanks, to preserve its pleasantly fruity character and 15% in large barrels, allowing for an evolution towards more complex tertiary aromas.

The Crozes-Hermitage Rouge “Les Meysonniers”, made by Michel Chapoutier, is a very classic and traditional version of the great reds from this historic denomination of the Rhône Valley. In the glass, it presents a deep red color with bright violet reflections. The olfactory profile is characterized by intense and elegant aromas, reminiscent of violet, medicinal herbs, black currant, blueberry, blackberry, sensations of oriental spices, and the mineral nuances of graphite and stone.focal. On the palate, it has a good structure, with dense tannins well integrated with rich and ripe fruit, enhanced by refined notes of tertiary evolution, leading to a harmonious finish, slightly spicy.
