The Dolcetto d'Alba "Dei Grassi" tells the story of the Langhe territory with purity and simplicity. It is made from Dolcetto grapes from 30-year-old vines that are fermented and aged in steel tanks. The flavor is winey and fragrant, fresh and very juicy, endowed with a bouquet rich in crunchy small red fruits

This Dolcetto d'Alba "Dei Grassi" embodies a very interesting concept, where simplicity and straightforwardness take on strongly positive etymological contours. Too often, we tend to trivialize how difficult it is to create linear and harmonious products that flow easily on the palate. The Elio Grasso winery, with its nearly century-long experience in the Langhe region of Piemonte, preserves the characteristics of the Dolcetto grape, fully capturing the concept of essentiality that is often disguised by unnecessary and redundant embellishments, which ultimately make drinking difficult. The power of simplicity is striking in this label.

The Dolcetto "Dei Grassi" wine is made from a red grape variety widely cultivated within the regional borders of Piemonte, the Dolcetto. The vineyards where this variety grows have an average age of about 30 years and are situated at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level. The exposure is southeast, and the terroir is characterized by a calcareous-clay composition. The grapes, once they arrive at the winemaking facilities of Elio Grasso, ferment alcoholically in steel, with periodic pump-overs, also undergoing malolactic fermentation. Always in steel, the wine remains to stabilize for a few months, until it is ready to be bottled.

The red Dolcetto d'Alba "Dei Grassi" reveals itself with a ruby red color. The array of aromas that envelop the nose evokes typical wine sensations of the varietal, enriched by notes of red fruit and aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is light-bodied, fresh, and smooth, with a sip characterized by a fruity taste and a happily integrated tannic structure. Elio Grasso gives us the wine ideal for accompanying lunches and dinners in everyday life, never falling into banality, but rather indulging in the luxury of a truly satisfying bottle.
