The 'Suculé-Baccanera-Barolo' Box of the Piedmontese reality Lo Zoccolaio is configured as a valuable wooden box capable of conveying theelegant wine essence of the Langhe. The name Lo Zoccolaio derives from the place of the same name located in Bricco di Barolo, among the prestigious hills of the Langhe, a place where, associating tradition and modernity, the estate breeds and vinifies local varieties, such as Barbera, Dolcetto and Nebbiolo, as well as international varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Regardless of the variety in question, Cascina Lo Zoccolaio's intent is to emphasize the unique identity of one of the world's most important wine-growing areas.
'Suculé-Baccanera-Barolo' Lo Zoccolaio Box includes a bottle of Barbera d'Alba Superiore 'Suculé', a bottle of Langhe Rosso 'Baccanera' and a bottle of Barolo, all signed Cascina Lo Zoccolaio, kept in a refined wooden box. Specifically, the Barbera d'Alba Superiore 'Suculé' originates from only Barbera grapes grown between the communes of Barolo and Monforte d'Alba, vinified red by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks in contact with the skins and subsequent aging for 18 months in French oak barrels. This Barbera emerges as much for its pulpy fruit and intense spiciness as for the richness and generosity typical of the grape variety. In contrast, the Langhe Rosso 'Baccanera' originates from an articulate blend of Barbera, Merlot, Nebbiolo and Cabernet Sauvignon grown between Barolo and Monforte d'Alba. Again, aging takes place in French oak barrels for a period of 18 months, a factor that contributes to aromatic complexity and soft tannins. Finally, Cascina Lo Zoccolaio's Barolo comes from a blend of Nebbiolo grapes from the communes of Barolo, Monforte d'Alba and Verduno. In this case, maturation in French oak barrels lasts for a full 36 months, delivering a Barolo with a modern style of great pleasantness and elegance.
Cascina Lo Zoccolaio's 'Suculé-Baccanera-Barolo' Box offers the opportunity to taste three different Langhe declinations that highlight the modern face of the area.
