Tenuta Terraviva's Passerina '12.1' is a light and lively Abruzzese white wine with a spontaneous character. It is aged for 6 months in steel tanks and presents a straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals light hints of white flowers, marjoram and thyme. The sip is light and balanced, with pleasant freshness and minerality

Tenuta Terraviva's Passerina '12.1' is a delicate, floral and fruity white wine with a pleasantly fresh and fragrant profile. It is a version that consistently expresses the special characteristics of this interesting white grape variety, which has only recently been rediscovered thanks to the process of enhancing the value of native Italian varieties. It quickly came to the attention of enthusiasts and today represents a consolidated reality on the Abruzzo white wine scene. Fine, elegant and with a vibrant sip, it is a wine particularly suitable to be enjoyed as an aperitif, with hors d'oeuvres or with delicately flavoured seafood dishes.

"12.1" is a Passerina produced by Tenuta Terraviva in the splendid area of Tortoteto, in the province of Teramo. The vines are cultivated nowhere near the coast, in an area with a sunny, mild and always breezy climate, which makes it possible to obtain very fragrant and aromatically rich grapes. Once the best bunches have been harvested by hand, the grapes are quickly transferred to the cellar, where they undergo a soft pressing. After a short period of static decantation, the must is fermented spontaneously and using only indigenous yeasts in steel tanks at a temperature of 22 °C. The wine matures for 6 months in steel tanks before release.

Tenuta Terraviva's white Passerina "12.1" is a wine that makesimmediacy and freshness of expression its best strengths. Simple and delicate, it consistently illustrates the most typical face of this interesting Abruzzi grape variety. In the glass, it is straw yellow in colour with soft, brilliant greenish reflections. Elegant and subtle, it is characterised by a bouquet expressing delicate floral aromas, aromas of white-fleshed fruit, green apple and light nuances of tropical fruit. The sip is smooth and lively, fragrant and taut, with an expressive freshness on the finish. A white to be discovered, perfect for those who are passionate about indigenous grape varieties.
