The Riesling Spatlese Wehlener Sonnenuhr from Schloss Lieser is a white wine from the Moselle characterized by a significant residual sugar, balanced by a vibrant and citrusy freshness. It emanates aromas of white fruit, peach, and citrus, interspersed with mineral and saline nuances. The taste is sweet and very fresh, dynamic, juicy, and fruity.

The Riesling Spätlese Wehlener Sonnenuhr is a white from Mosel, which fascinates for its remarkable taste balance between the lively citrus freshness, characteristic of Riesling Renano, and the typical residual sugar of the type. The Riesling Spätlese corresponds to a slightly late harvest on the German classification scale. It is a highly charming Riesling, produced by the Schloss Lieser Winery, which has vineyards in the most prized and famous areas of the Mosel territory, including the renowned cru Wehlener Sonnenuhr, from which the grapes for this Spätlese come.

The Riesling Mosel Spätlese is part of the rich collection of the Schloss Lieser Winery, one of the most prestigious in the Mosel area. It comes from the vineyards of the cru Wehlener Sonnenuhr, located near Zeltingen, with beautiful southwest-facing exposures. The vineyards are cultivated on steep slopes that overlook the river. The soils are characterized by classic stony soils rich in slate, which in the Wehlener Sonnenuhr area are slightly deeper and generally yield grapes with great balance between juicy fruit and freshness. The harvest takes place one or two weeks later than the normal harvest period, to allow the grapes to reach a slightly more advanced ripeness and a greater sugar concentration. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, partly in steel and partly in wood. It then ages for a few months before being bottled.
