The white wine "BBK" by Lis Neris is the result of grapes harvested in Slovenia, in the villages of Barbana, Biljana, and Kozana, vinified in Italy with fermentation and aging in steel. It expresses richness and warmth, dispensing aromas of yellow fruit and hay. On the palate, it is warm, enveloping, and persistent.

The “BBK” by Lis Neris is a white wine that speaks both Italian and Slovenian. Lis Neris is a winery that has been taking care of its vineyards since 1879, in border lands between Friuli and Slovenia, where the Isonzo River flows in a wider bed, once past the border. Gorizia is the quintessential representation of a dualistic territory, but the winemaking soul has always been unique and united. Over time, Lis Neris has elevated quality – and along with it, winemaking techniques – reaching a level of excellence that has broadened its fame. The whites find their natural home in this sometimes harsh and rugged area.

Lis Neris “BBK” is a Ribolla Gialla – Rebula in Slovenian – made from grapes grown in Slovenian territory, in the region bordering Gorizia of Dobrovo. The name itself is the acronym of the three towns where the vineyards are located: Barbana, Biljana, Kozana. The soil here is characterized by the presence of pebbles on the surface, locally called claps, which regulate the temperature because they can store heat during the day. The harvest takes place in September and is completed manually with care to select the best bunches. Fermentation occurs in steel tanks with a constant controlled temperature between 20° and 22°. The aging lasts about 8 months on the fine lees.

“BBK” signed by Lis Neris reveals its tenacity already through the intense straw yellow color, full and strong. The olfactory bouquet that comes from the glass has predominantly fruity notes, decisive and rich, of character: the ripe yellow-fleshed fruit stands out among the others, while hints of hay and aromatic herbs balance and complete the sweetness, giving sharp and penetrating touches. On the palate, it presents itself as warm and soft, with a good structure that also relies on sapidity and minerality. The finish is quite long, granting an adequate persistence.
