The relationship between the terroir and the grape variety is fundamental for Nicola Manferrari, owner of the Borgo del Tiglio winery. Each plot has its own characteristics and microclimate, and the choice to plant a specific variety in a certain area must be carefully considered in light of these important elements. This Chardonnay is born after some experiments conducted by Nicola in different vineyards to achieve perfection. An ambitious goal that, from the very first sips, seems to be conquered, thanks to a wine soft, refreshing, and mineral, where the typical aromas of exotic fruit that characterize the original grape variety manifest on the nose.
The Borgo del Tiglio winery produces this Friulian white wine from pure Chardonnay. The grapes grow in vineyards characterized by different ages and enjoy a particularly cool microclimate. Once in the winemaking facilities, the bunches are gently pressed to ferment alcoholically in oak barrels. The aging phase follows, carried out for at least 9 months in barrique, and the subsequent bottling.
This Chardonnay Borgo del Tiglio presents itself visually with a bright and luminous straw yellow. The aromas that develop on the nose are very enveloping, where notes of exotic fruit alternate with balsamic and spicy sensations. On the palate, it is light-bodied, with a juicy sip centered on freshness and sapidity, characteristics that enhance the drinking experience; it ends with a finish that has a fruity aftertaste. A bottle that is born from the tenacity and experiments of Nicola Manferrari, who dedicates to this Chardonnay the plots of land most suited to its cultivation, giving us a wine complete in every facet.
