The "Petracine" is a Riesling from Piedmont with beautiful expressive strength, vinified and matured in steel. It expresses sensations of flowers and yellow fruit and has a mineral, harmonious, fresh, and elegant taste, with pleasant aromaticity and character.

The Riesling "Petracine" from the Vajra winery originates from an intuition of Aldo Vaira, a true pioneer of this international variety in Piemonte. Aldo created the first bottle in 1985, and since then, the winery has dedicated itself to the development of this grape within the langarolo terroir. Today, the "Petracine" presents itself with a brilliant shape, with balanced freshness, from which emerge the typical notes of flint. A label born from passion, curiosity, and the desire to challenge oneself, characteristics that accompany Vajra's work every day.

This "Petracine" is a Riesling made from the homonymous grapes, used in purity by the Vajra winery team. The vines of this variety are cultivated within the Fossati vineyard, in the highest part of the terroir from which Barolo is produced, and in Bertone, in the municipality of Sinio. The grapes, harvested in the first half of September, are gently pressed, and after a brief cold decantation, fermentation begins.alcoholic, lasting for 15-20 days. It is then followed by aging, during which the wine rests for six months in steel containers, before being bottled and marketed.

The white wine Riesling “Petracine” presents itself visually with a light greenish color, crossed by reflections tending towards straw yellow. The nose is dominated by notes of yellow-fleshed fruit, enriched in the finish by more floral aromas. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, round, with an aromatic sip characterized by a pleasant fresh and savory vein; it ends with a finish of excellent persistence. Vajra, an important name in the wine scene of the Langhe, creates a white wine of character and personality, which receives positive feedback from the main Italian and foreign industry critics.
