'Riflesso Rosi' Eugenio Rosi 2023
ArtisanalThe "Riflesso Rosi" by Eugenio Rosi is a fragrant rosé wine obtained from a blend based on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Marzemino, macerated for 2 days and enriched in a second step by the addition of pomace from white grapes such as Nosiola and Pinot Bianco, used to absorb the unstable pigmentation and give structure to the glass, which is smooth, unusually briny, dynamic, elegant and with a finely chiseled aromatic bouquet.
The "Riflesso Rosi" by Eugenio Rosi is a delicious rosé, among our favorite wines especially considering its incredible quality-price ratio. The face of artisanal Trentino when it comes to wine could be identified with that of Eugenio Rosi, an extraordinary winemaker who has been harmoniously and respectfully cultivating the most famous local varieties since 1997, creating small jewels. A passion that has deep roots, it is fair to say, in the relationship with the countryside and with his father, who has always conveyed to Eugenio the importance and beauty of direct contact with nature. Always prioritizing actions over words, Eugenio tends a few hectares south of Trento in Vallagarina, renouncing the use of chemical or synthetic substances and pursuing as his sole aim the creation of territorial products that tell the story of his land. Needless to say, the result is splendidly successful, and every bottled wine exudes typicity while being truly good.
The "Riflesso" rosé is obtained from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Marzemino. In the vineyard as already mentioned, no pesticides, herbicides, or other chemical substances are used, in order to preserve the vitality of the soil and fruit. In the cellar, spontaneous alcoholic fermentation and a short maceration on the skins for two days are carried out. Subsequently, the pomace of Nosiola and Pinot Bianco are added to fix the color of the liquid and give it structure. It ages in steel without undergoing clarification or filtration.
The wine "Riflesso Rosi" presents itself in the glass with a very intense and rich pink hue. The nose is delicious and fruity, alternating hints of sour cherry and marasca, along with wild herbs and the wine component, always well present in the background. The sip travels on two tracks that are always able to meet, namely that of the fullness of the pulp and the carefree drink, conveyed by a well-present acidity that is modulated. A magnificent rosé.
