Vi Roig 'Per l'amor de déu' Terra00 2023

The Clarete ‘Per l’Amor de Déu’ is a unique rosé wine from Catalonia produced by the artisanal bodega Terra 00 through a blend of white and red grapes. In particular, for this label, the grape varieties Vernatxa Blanca and Vernatxa Negra are used, which are the Catalan names for Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Tinta, respectively. These, along with Morenillo and Macabeu, represent the traditional varieties cultivated by Joan R. Bada and Josep Arrufat in Villalba de los Arcos, in the heart of the Catalan wine region of Terra Alta.

‘Per l’Amor de Déu’ Clarete Terra 00 consists of an equivalent blend of the grape varieties Vernatxa Blanca and Vernatxa Negra, grown following the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture within the parcels Les Novenes and La Cirera, where the soils are rocky, clayey, and calcareous. Once the grapes have reached the right stage of ripeness, manual harvesting is carried out, and the grapes are then all pressed together in stainless steel tanks for spontaneous alcoholic fermentation conducted by indigenous yeasts.indigenous yeasts. The subsequent maturation phase takes place in 1,000-liter terracotta amphorae, containers in which the liquid remains for 9 months to mature until bottling, which occurs without any clarification, filtration, or addition of sulfites.

The Terra 00 Clarete ‘Per l’Amor de Déu’ has an intense coppery hue with violet reflections. The bouquet offers hints of violet and red fruit, including prominent notes of wild strawberries, currants, and raspberries, surrounded by slight and pleasant mineral and herbal aromas. Fresh and smooth on the palate, supported by a pleasant savory vein on the finish. The juicy closure recalls the fruity sensations perceived on the nose.
