Presented on the occasion of the famous Diamond Pepper Festival, it is an amaro that celebrates Capo Vaticano and echoes the regional Mediterranean scrub, paying homage to the Calabrian soul through a typical product, the red pepper, 30th and a new ingredient compared to the famous edition. "Red Hot" is a special edition of the Old Amaro del Capo. The success of this liqueur comes from an inimitable secret recipe, based on a selection of twenty-nine herbs, flowers, fruits, and roots, gathered in the generous land of Calabria. Among the main ingredients are citrus peels, anise seeds, orange and chamomile flowers, juniper berries, licorice, peppermint, and red chili. The botanicals are harvested throughout the year,each at the moment of maximum expression. The process of maceration and infusion in alcohol is done immediately after harvesting, individually for each botanical, in order to extract all the precious aromatic components, still fresh and fragrant. At the end of this phase, the infusions are filtered and skillfully blended into a harmonious assembly. The amaro is then lowered in degree with light and pure water and sweetened with a bit of sugar to eliminate the bitter tendency of some herbs.
