Champagne Extra Brut Cuvée 743 'Degorgement Tardif' Jacquesson
Jacquesson's Champagne Extra Brut Cuvée 741 'Dégorgement Tardif' is a refined sparkling wine from the Vallée de la Marne. The historic 'maison' creates a cuvée with wines aged for many years, performing a late disgorging that allows the development of unique aromas. Intense hints of ripe fruit meet typical hints of pastries reminiscent of honey cakes. Ageing in low-oxidative environments allows the development of surprising freshness, and the palate amazes with its persistence and balance. A wine of great elegance and prestige
The Extra Brut Cuvée 743 Degorgement Tardif Champagne from Maison Jacquesson is a high-end label that ranks among the elite of great Champagnes. Appreciated worldwide for its unmistakable style, the Jacquesson brand stands out for its particular aromatic richness, due to the use of wood for ageing the vins clairs, malolactic fermentation, very long sur lattes ageing and very low dosages. The grapes come from a selection of the estate's best parcels, carefully selected according to the climatic conditions of the vintage. The result is a rich and complex Champagne, characterised by great persistence on the palate.
The Cuvée 743 Champagne Extra Brut Degorgement Tardif is the result of the expertise of one of the historic maisons. Jacquesson was founded at the end of the 18th century and today produces a range of legendary labels, eagerly awaited by enthusiasts every year. The cuvées in the 700 series are the brand's signature. The very high percentage of vintage wines makes them very different from each other, placing them halfway between a millésimé and a sans année. The cuvée is a blend of Chardonnay grapes from the Grand Cru of Avize and Pinot Noir grapes grown in the prized terroirs of Aÿ and Dizy. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are pressed and vinified separately by variety and individual parcel. After ageing for about a year in wood on fine lees, the base wines of the vintage are blended with a small percentage of reserve wines. The second fermentation takes place in the bottle according to the Champenoise method, with a late dégorgement that involves ageing on the lees for over 90 months.
Extra Brut Cuvée 743 Degorgement Tardif Jacquesson is a Champagne of great purity, which expresses the characteristics of the terroir with clear transparency. It is a bottle of great charm, suitable for tasting at the table with intensely flavoured fish dishes or with roasted or spit-roasted white meats. It has a beautiful golden colour with brilliant reflections and a very fine, continuous perlage. The bouquet is characterised by floral scents, notes of ripe citrus fruits, aromas of yellow fruits, the softness of petits fours, hints of dried fruit and chalky and mineral sensations. Harmonious and rich, it captivates with a deep, savoury and full-bodied taste, with ripe fruit supported by a vibrant freshness.
