The "Duas Quintas" is a red wine with intense aromas, produced from a blend of local grapes including Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa, and aged partly in steel tanks and partly in French oak barrels. With a full-bodied palate and velvety tannins, it offers surprising fresh notes. The nose is rich in scents of damp earth, woods, spices, and small red fruits.

The Douro Tinto Reserva “Duas Quintas” by Ramos Pinto is a great Portuguese red, complex, elegant, and structured.  It is one of the most important labels of this ancient winery, which has been producing high-quality wines since the 19th century. Always faithful to the traditions of the wonderful Douro Valley region, the estate has dedicated itself to enhancing the ancient local varieties, which highlight a unique personality.  Due to its particular characteristics, it is a wine very suitable for tasting with roasted red meats, grilled meat, or game on the spit.

“Duas Quintas” Douro Tinto Reserva is the result of the centuries-old experience of one of the most famous wineries in the Douro. Ramos Pinto manages an estate of over 400 hectares, with magnificent vineyards located in the best areas of the Douro Valley. The wine is made from a blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Francesa, and Tinta da Barca grapes from vineyards located in two company estates: Quinta de Ervamoira, characterized by soils composed of schist, and Quinta dos Bons Ares characterized, instead, by soils of granitic origin, loose and draining sands. The vines are cultivated at an altitude ranging from 200 to 600 meters above sea level, in an area with a mild and temperate climate, which favors excellent ripening of the grapes, with very rich aromatic profiles. The best bunches are sent for fermentation in cement tanks and wooden casks. Before proceeding to bottling, the wine matures for 30 months in French oak barrels.

The Douro Tinto Reserva “Duas Quintas” from the Ramos Pinto winery is a wine that perfectly expresses the character of the terroir, through the main indigenous Portuguese red grape varieties. In the glass, it presents a beautiful dark garnet red color with bright reflections. On the nose, it offers an elegant and complex bouquet, with aromas of black currant, wild strawberries, blueberry, red plum, fragrant notes of blood orange, floral hints of violet, and touches of soft spices. On the palate, it has fine and velvety tannins, a ripe and rich fruit. The finish is persistent and pleasantly fresh.
