'Il Postino' is a white wine from Abruzzo with a rustic and direct character, vinified with maceration on the skins for some days in old barriques. Rural pefumes of yellow flowers, aromatic herbs, salsedine, spices and citrus fruits introduce to a fresh, savory and dynamic taste, very gastronomic and pleasant. Artisanal Wine made with old style methods

Il Postino from the Colle Florido winery in Abruzzo is a white wine with a frank and genuine character, made with artisan spirit. It is a typically territorial wine, made with great respect for the varietal characteristics of the grapes. In order to preserve maximum expressive integrity, vinification is carried out with partial maceration on the skins, which enriches the bouquet with more complex aromas. Ageing in old barriques contributes to a broad and evolved palate, offering a pleasant aromatic intensity and a beautiful persistence and length on the palate.

The white wine "Il Postino" is an iconic product of this winery in the hilly hinterland of Pescara. The area benefits from a perfect climate for viticulture, characterised by its proximity to the Apennine mountain range and the Adriatic Sea, whose gentle breezes mitigate temperatures. The vineyards are immersed in a natural environment of great biodiversity, with woods, olive groves and arable land. The vineyards are managed using only sulphur and copper, and the winery practices are also very respectful of the raw material, with minimal human intervention. The company's philosophy is based on the production of high-quality wine with artisanal characteristics, using indigenous yeasts, very low levels of sulphur dioxide, and no clarification or filtration before bottling.

Colle Florido's "Il Postino" wine is an interpretation of varietal typicity and territorial character. Fermentation takes place with a week-long maceration on the skins for 60% of the mass, partly in steel and partly in old barrels. Before bottling, the wine matures for a few months in old barrels. It has a rather intense light yellow colour with bright golden reflections. The nose releases intense aromas of wild flowers, chamomile, citrus fruits, medicinal herbs and hints of iodine. The palate is deep and aromatically rich, with ripe fruit, spicy sensations and a fresh and very persistent finish, ending with savoury and slightly bitter notes.
