LAMBRUSCO SPUMANTE 'MARCELLO MILLESIMATO' ARIOLA DESCRIPTION

Lambrusco Spumante "Marcello Millesimato" is the jewel in the crown of the Emilia-based winery Ariola, produced exclusively for haute cuisine. It is made from the Lambrusco Mastri grape variety and sparkling using the Martinotti Method, so as to preserve all the fragrance and fruity freshness of the grape. It is a light and lively red wine with easy drinking, the perfect table companion to accompany a platter of cured meats or the typical dishes of Emilia's rich cuisine.

Spumante "Marcello Millesimato" is a Lambrusco that comes from the Ariola estate, an estate founded after World War II that is located in Calicella di Pilastro, in the province of Parma. The vines are cultivated in the sweet pre-Apennine hilly area, at an altitude between 220 and 300 meters above sea level. The sunny exposures and clay-loam matrix soils have for centuries been the ideal habitat for Lambrusco, the true symbolic grape variety of this region. Careful agronomic work in the management of the vineyards and low yields make it possible to obtain high quality grapes with a rich and intense aromatic profile. At the end of the harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery, where a second selection is made of the best bunches to be sent to vinification. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks. After a short period of aging, the base wines are transferred to autoclaves for prise de mousse and second fermentation using the Martinotti or Charmat Method, which continues for 6 months.

Ariola's "Marcello Millesimato" is a great Lambrusco from Emilia, the label that best represents the tradition of the area and the best characteristics of the grape variety. In the goblet it has a reddish-purple color, with a delicate froth with violet hues. On the nose, it releases intense aromas of violet, blueberry, blackberry, wild strawberry on a delicately spiced background. The sip is of a satisfying pleasantness, with crisp fruit and a finish vivid, fresh and savory, endowed with slight residual sugar that makes it soft and pleasant.
